SIT40816 - Certificate IV in Asian Cookery

This program covers the requirements needed to obtain a qualifcation in
SIT40816 – Certifcate IV in Asian Cookery refects the role of commercial cooks
who have a supervisory or team leading role in kitchen preparing Asian food
and use a wide range of well-developed cookery skills and sound knowledge of
kitchen operations to produce Asian food and menu items.

Successful completion of this qualifcation provides a pathway to work in
various organisations where Asian food is prepared and served including, but
not limited to restaurants, hotels, resorts, exhibition and convention centres,
cruise ships, clubs, stadiums, cafes and coffee shops.

  • IELTS 5.5 with no band below 5.0
  • Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent in the
    student’s home country). Students who have not completed Year 12 (or equivalent) must have relevant work experience or a qualification that indicates a likely success of course completion. Alternatively, students are required to take an English pre-test before enrollment.
