This program covers the requirements needed to obtain a qualification in
SIT40716 – Certificate IV in Patisserie and reflects the role of pastry chefs who
have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen and use a wide range of
well-developed patisserie skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations
to produce patisserie products and discretion to solve non routine problems.
Successful completion of this qualification provides a pathway to work in
various organisations where patisserie products are prepared and served,
including patisseries, restaurants, hotels, resorts, exhibition and convention
centres, cruise ships, clubs, stadiums, cafes and coffee shops.
