SIT30816 – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (108364H)

This program covers the requirements needed to obtain a qualification in SIT30816 – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook in a variety of establishments including but not limited to restaurants hotels, resorts, exhibition and convention centres, cruise ships, clubs, stadiums, cafes and coffee shops. Successfully complete of this qualification will be able to use a wide range of well-developed cookery skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations to prepare food and menu items. Using discretion and judgement, you will be able to work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

  • IELTS 5.5 with no band below 5.0
  • Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent in the
    student’s home country). Students who have not completed Year 12 (or equivalent) must have relevant work experience or a qualification that indicates a likely success of course completion. Alternatively, students are required to take an English pre-test before enrollment.
